Traveling to Princeton is relatively easy considering its close proximity to the Philadelphia and New York metropolitan areas.

Rail

Princeton and Princeton Junction

Depending on how you arrive, you might want to consider taking NJ Transit to Princeton. You can take NJ Transit or Amtrak to Princeton Junction and there either transfer to the Dinky, a train that runs between Princeton and Princeton Junction, or take a cab directly to your hotel. If you are coming from Philadelphia, you can transfer from the SEPTA to NJ Transit. Within New York, you can transfer at Union Station from either the New York Subway or Long Island Railroad.

Airports

Newark

The most convenient airport for traveling to Princeton is Newark International. Rent a car or take NJ Transit to the Princeton Junction.

Philadelphia

Flying into Philly is also an easy way to access Princeton. It's easy to either rent a car or you can take the SEPTA train line and transfer to the NJ Transit.

New York

Princeton is accessible from both JFK and LaGuardia airports. The trip is slightly longer but the flights are often cheaper or more direct.
